Club news

Well done to Seth McKinnon – Evans of the U14 squad who has made it to the Norfolk County Football team. Seth battled through 3 weekends of trials and from 138 players he made the 20 man squad. This is the first player from the club to be selected for a representative team,.

Seth has been with the club from U6 level and this is an amazing achievement. Now the hard work really starts!

The club would like to congratulate Isobel Lever on her achievement of getting Norwich City FC PDC

Under 15’s End of season treat

Sunday 3rd July saw last years U14’s squad take to battlefield of a different kind to mark their end of season. Yes – it was the day of the paintball trip to Combat Paintball in Thetford Forest!

It was a great turn out by the whole squad, together with the coaches (we’ll call them big targets!). The boys were all placed on the same team and kitted out in full combat gear and guns. Although it was a bit worrying when some of them kitted themselves out with optional hand grenades and smoke bombs. What were we letting ourselves in for?!

During the course of the day we invaded and defended bunkers, stopped mutant zombies from breaking into the church and played giant paintball football against another team. However, we came through victorious and it was clear that by the end of the day everyone had massive smiles on their faces and a great time was had by all.

Despite nursing lumps and bruises it was something I think will become the activity of choice for coming seasons. We could maybe do with a couple of smoke bombs the next time the opposition attack during a match down Cringleford Rec.

Remember – keep your friends close, but more importantly – keep your enemies at the end of your gun!
